RADIO ACTIVITY

AM TO FM CONVERSIONS ON THE AIR
MB BRANDON 91.5 CKLQ Moved from 880. Operates with 100,000 watts. CKLQ 880 remains on the air as an AM nested repeater.

TECHNICAL CHANGES ON THE AIR
MB BRANDON 107.5 CIWM Moved from 91.5. Operates with 2,700 watts.

CALL LETTER DATA
NS SAINT PETERS 93.7 Has reserved CIYU if application approved.
QC GATINEAU 1350 Has reserved CHFO if application approved.

CRTC & ISEDC DECISIONS

NEW HD STATIONS GRANTED
QC LAVAL 105.7 CFGL-HD 816 watts. No programming details available.

TECHNICAL CHANGES GRANTED
NL ROCKY HARBOUR 98.1 CHRH Raise antenna height. Relocate transmitter.

DENIALS
AB MEDICINE HAT 93.7 CJLT Remove specialty FM status which would have enabled CJLT to drop Christian programming and replace it with Alternative Rock. The CRTC stated that this would have a negative financial impact on existing stations in the market.

GOING OFF THE AIR
YT WHITEHORSE 610 CKRW Voluntarily rescinded license due to the transmitter being in a state of disrepair. Programming will now originate on nested repeater CKRW 96.1 Whitehorse until a formal AM to FM conversion application is filed.

QC SAINT-FABIEN-DE-PANET 92.5 Commercial. 12,600 watts (17,500 watts Max. ERP). Hot AC (French). Will simulcast CIQI 90.3 Montmagny.

PROPOSED AM TO FM CONVERSIONS
MB WINNIPEG 810 CKJS Move to 92.7 with 19,700 watts (35,000 watts Max. ERP). Format will remain Multilingual.

PROPOSED TECHNICAL CHANGES
ON MARKHAM 105.9 CFMS Decrease average ERP from 704 to 630 watts.Increase maximum ERP from 2,500 to 3,000 watts. Raise antenna height. Relocate transmitter.
ON TIMMINS 96.1 CBCJ Decrease power from 41,600 to 11,000 watts. Raise antenna height. Relocate transmitter.
ON TIMMINS 97.1 CBON-25 Decrease power from 41,100 to 11,000 watts. Raise antenna height. Relocate transmitter.

PROPOSED OWNERSHIP CHANGES
BC RICHMOND 650 CISL From Newcap to Rogers (will go Sports if application is approved).
ON BRANTFORD 93.9 CFWC From South of Faith Broadcasting to Evanov.

PROPOSED CHANGES TO STATUS
QC VAL-DES-LACS 106.5 CHVL Upgrade status from developmental Community station to regular Community station.

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
The CRTC has issued a call for applications for a new commercial station in Georgina, ON after receiving an application from My Broadcasting Corporation for a station on 93.7 with 3,000 watts.
